Lawn Maintenance Tallahassee Area
Goodwill Contracts has contracts with the State of Florida that specialize in employing people with disabilities and impairments giving them work. These contracts help Goodwill’s mission is to create jobs for people with barriers. Persons applying for this position must be able to; Operates backpack blower Responsible for cleaning all assigned work tools, working areas, and assigned vehicle Performs basic service maintenance and inspects equipment
Informs appropriate supervisory personnel of possible problems at contract site in a timely manner, interacts with co-workers, contract personnel, and customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Safely operates all maintenance equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines and all safety/occupational policies and procedures Responsible for wearing all safety related protective equipment Mows lawns in accordance with contract specifications Trims tree branches, weeds, hedges and shrubs Edges sidewalks, curbs, parking areas, and other surfaced areas. Donation Attendant Munroe St Donation Center
Donation Attendants are responsible for processing donations for sale in Goodwill retail stores. Processors must adhere to Goodwill’s standards and guidelines; Examine wares and sort them into categories with respect to their proper processing; Sort and price wares and breakable items (glass, pots, pans, silverware). Sort, inspect, clean and price shoes; Inspect, clean and prices accessories; Keep accurate record of items processed on a daily basis; Regularly meet or exceed quota standards; Maintain a clean and safe work area; Some work experience and knowledge of brand names and styles, helpful.
Book Processor/Sales Associate Mahan Bookstore
Goodwill Industries-Big Bend, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Part Time Book Store Sales Associate position at our new Mahan Bookstore located at 3111 Mahan Drive in Tallahassee in Lafayette Place. The Sales Associate is responsible for opening and closing of the store in addition to processing books for sale, displaying books on shelves. Must have a flexible schedule and good organizational skills. Does not have to have great knowledge of books. Must be available to work any day of the week. 20-30 hours a week.
Drivers Tallahassee Area Driver
Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, the Truck Driver is responsible for operating large delivery vehicles (under 26,001 lbs.) within the areas served by Goodwill to deliver and or collect goods, as directed. High School degree or equivalent, preferred; Must be at least 23 years of age; One-year truck driving experience, preferred. Valid Class B CDL; Good driving record with no more than two points on DMV record within the previous 12 months
Training Coordinator Tallahassee Mabry Administration
Goodwill Industries- Big Bend, Inc. is looking for a Training Coordinator in our Human resources department.
Primary Function: Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources and the VP of Retail Operations, the Training Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating training programs within the organization. This position will also assist with human resources related task such and conflict resolution, FMLA, and Benefits coordination. Primary Responsibilities:1) Develop training programs (i.e., management, new employee, customer service, etc.) as needed;2) Develop and manage the training schedule for all programs;3) Coordinate and/or deliver training;4) Follow up on training of all management personnel;5) Assist Retail Store Managers and Directors as needed;6) Maintain an acceptable attendance record;7) Participate in staff meetings and training, as required;8) Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements:1) College degree in human resources 2) Two (2) years experience in retail environment or Human resources field; 3) Supervisory experience preferred.

Manager In Training Various Locations throughout Big Bend Area
Goodwill Industries- Big Bend, Inc. has multiple openings for Managers in Training (MIT). Under the direct supervision of the Store Manager and general supervision of the Sales Manager, the Manager Trainee is responsible for learning the full duties of a retail store manager, including overseeing daily retail operations, insuring the highest standards of customer service, and directing projects and responsibilities assigned and delegated by the Store Manager. MIT’s Responsibilities include; Trains in sales techniques, displays and merchandising; Learns all paperwork involved in store operations; Trains in the production and processing of merchandise for the store; Trains in retail and donor customer service: Performs store management duties in absence of the Store Manager: Assists with or completes all appropriate daily paperwork required to perform the banking function and daily deposit as directed by the Store Manager; Handles opening and closing the store, as directed; Helps coach and assists in training new employees on tasks as appropriate; Ensures proper operation and maintenance of store equipment.
