Contracts
Contract Services will involve the acquisition of State and Federal contract work specifically for persons with disabilities. Goodwill will be working with organizations such as NISH/ABILITY ONE and RESPECT of FLORIDA to obtain these contracts so we can get people in the workforce and give them something to be proud of as well as creating revenue to support Goodwill’s mission.
Goodwill currently has two contracts
- Holding Pond Mowing Contract
- Highway Right of Way Litter Removal Contract
These two contracts will provide eight new positions for persons with disabilities and two for persons with out. Both contracts are with Bay county DOT.
The mowing crew will also take over the lawn maintenance of our Panama City stores and housing facilities.
These two contracts we have in place are the starting point for our contracts division permanent fixture here at Goodwill Big Bend. This is a new branch of Goodwill - Big Bend and other Goodwill’s across the country have been very successful in this division.
